Volvo C70 2.0d sport

Hopefully I'm safe in this section of PH with this.....SWMBO has a very leggy V70 2.4T (194k miles) & has most likely got herself a top job where she needs a better set of wheels image-wise given her trusty car is 13 yrs old.
Having run a Volvo for 4 yrs she is fully into the comfortable seats/safety aspect & has started browsing my area of expertise. .. Autotrader/PH classifieds!
What is the considered opinion on the C70 2.0D sport with a manual box & are there any big ticket worries to look out for?

2 things - it weighs a hefty 1700Kg due to the folding roof, so expect it to be slow and if that folding roof fails, it can be an expensive fix.
That said, it's a beautiful car with superb ride and excellent stereo. Watching the folding roof in action is like a cross between ballet and porn
