V70 front fogs not working

Hi
1999 V70 T5 front fogs not working.Just bought the car,bulbs replaced and associated fuses replaced but no joy.Light on fog dash switch doesent illuminate either and Ive been told its probably the relay.Do I just buy a new relay or are there other checks I can make first?Many thanks.

They'll be full of corrosion - common as muck - remove the units and clean the bulb seats and all the contacts - I've given up doing mine as I never use them and they last about 6months before one of them packs up again - easy fix - a couple of hours, a socket set, a can of wd40 and a piece of scotch bright should see them working again
