Winter tyres for 2011 V60

Well specifically wheels for winter tyres.

The car is on 18" wheels, but I was wondering if there is a smaller size steel wheel which could be used with winter tyres. I have spoken to my dealer, but they we not much help. Is it worth contacting Volvo UK customer services for advice? Or does anyone here have experience which would be relevant?

You should be able to drop down to a 16 inch with a 215 or even 195 wheel
