The wife has had her D5 for about 2 years now and has been niggled by the oem radio / cd player from the off. Are there any options to have the oem system replaced with an all singing / dancing alternative? She wants a DAB system possibly with satnav built in.

The reason i ask is because the car has that weird centre console and not your normal stereo system box so i cannot see what could be done. Its got that storage void behind!

I love the generic Volvo interior, my C30 R Design had it, but stereo upgrades are a bh - although the standard was enough for me, personally.

You have a bit of a problem I'm afraid, I have never heard of an aftermarket kit for that type of dash and I'm a cultured Volvo nerd. Volvo themselves could likely install an upgraded system (as some were available on the new car options list) but the cost would be quite high, especially for the Dynaudio one (over a grand in a new car) as upgraded speakers would be needed.

Perhaps the "high performance audio kit" would simply be a main stereo and software replacement, but still... Volvo know how to charge I am afraid.
