Anyone have experience of the petrol T3 engine?

My Dad is on the verge of buying a new V60, and being a bit old-school is very anti diesel.
He would rather a T3 over a D4, both would be automatic.
I think he is mental buying a non performance petrol version of an estate car.
Running costs and depreciation aside, I can find very little on the T3 engine as it is such a marginal choice in the UK, and I suspect that finding a demo will be impossible.
Has anyone driven one at all?
