HELP! 940 Emissions. MoT failure.

What sort of usage does the car get? Long runs, short runs and minimal use ETC? If it just does short runs around town then stick some super unleaded into it and give it a good belt down the local motorway. Also, whats the cars service history like? If it hasn't been well serviced (not sure how long you've owned it) then it could also need a good fettle.
Does it need a new lambda sensor?
My 940 almost always does short trips and has never failed an emissions test, so that shouldn't be a problem.
http://www.lambdasensor.com/main/volvo.htm seems cheap enough for an aftermarket new sensor if that is what is needed
Maybe post on volvoforums.org.uk in the 7/900 section and see if anyone has a second hand one. There is ebay also
