C30 D5 Geartronic buying advice please

Mrs Prolex is after one of these.

Looking for a late a model as possible with budget up to £15k

Any known issues I should be aware of ?

Spotted a 2008 one with only 12k miles on which looks OK the Non Volvo dealer could not advise me on when the cam belt was due a change or indeed if they have one so any help greatfully received

I love my C30, great car - not massive but I'm assuming that isn't an issue for you. General problems with the D5, none that I can think of to be honest, it's an old tried and tested unit but as per any diesel if they do go wrong it could be expensive to fix - they do make a good bit of noise under hard acceleration though and it won't be as economical as you might think around town, I'd say about 30-35mpg tops, they are uber torquey though, even if the autobox dulls that a bit. Check the autobox changes gear correctly and smoothly, expect a bit of delay on the downshift if you floor it as the ones I've driven (a C30 and V50) seemed a bit docile.

I like your style!

The T5 is a very tractable engine (never driven an auto 2.5 one though, only the older 2.3HPT) But it'll drink like a fish around town if it's saddled with an auto box - they have a fair turn of speed about 'em though!!
