hello room

sinse getting out of hothatches in my late 20's ive been having a love affair with saab 9-5 aeros now the other saturday i had my thrid one writen off in two years a old boy failed to see me sitting at a roundabout waiting for it to be clear & rammed into the back of me, so im begining to think im cursed when it comes to saabs.

before i run off & buy another saab ive always had a soft spot for the s60r, i'd be looking at saloon & manual (dont do autos) ive read what i can on the net about them but am yet to drive one or evon stand infront of one

any owners on there?

anyone point me the right way for a good forum?

There are a fair few hands-on owners, some into modifications and track days, at www.t5d5.org

Of most concern is the angle gear in the AWD system that is costly to remedy and the fragility of this particular engine's wide bore block. If you are none too bothered about having AWD then the post '05 MY facelifted cars are the very best of the long line of T5s with their 2.4l engine that is virtually identical to the wider bore 2.5l Rs but is bombproof......just a good download of the best software will give you 330bhp.....

Regards, Don.

If it doesn't have to be an S60R there's a very well maintained V70R which has had an engine swap to the 2.4 T5 engine up for sale at the moment on the Volvo owners club forum and I think it may also be on t5d5 but not 100% sure - highish miles but everything's been done. I was seriously considering it before I decided I wanted an earlier car.
