Hi

I have a 50k mile D5 V70, 2006, went to it this morning and the clutch pedal goes to floor with zero resistance, and no clutch action. No warning signal whatsoever, fine last night when parking. Any ideas ? I have checked the fluid level for the brake fluid reservoir, it took a little, no fluid loss under the car.
Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Many thanks. I will check that area. Is there a best way to check, or is it only by replace and see ?

Ditto the above - sounds like the slave cylinder - common V70 failure. Unfortunately it's inside the bellhousing so a significant amount of labour to get at it and very often requires a new clutch as the fluid will have got on the clutch facing and maybe the DMF too.

I vaguely recall my dealer telling me that there's a recall for this and that they may rectify it or make a contribution even if the car is out of warranty - but only after it's failed, they wouldn't action the recall as a preventative fix. Can't remember the details and I could be mistaken, but maybe worth a 2 min call to a dealer to check.

Thanks for the info. Checked with the dealer and was told only if just out of warranty. They want £1500 plus for the job !! I am taking it to a local specialist who will look at it tomorrow . Thanks again.
