D5 TDI Tuning Box V70

Does anybody have any experience of the TDI tuning box for the Volvo D5 engine?
I have heard a few reviews saying that it is a 'proper' tuning box which gives a good performance improvement whilst working properly with the ECU. For the money it seems very tempting and can easily be removed if required. Does anybody now if the D5 engine will be happy running one f these boxes or is it a sure fire way to accelerate wear and tear. I am a very gentle driver but increased mid range torque is always welcome.
