C30 Brake upgrade
Discussion
Hi,
I've just submitted a post in the 'brakes & suspension' forum but thought I may get a response here too.
have a Volvo C30 which is the same hub as the Focus ST 225. I'm looking to upgrade the brakes and from what I can find out many calipers will fit, for example the Renault Sport Brembo's. I would however need brackets fabricating for fitment to my car.
Can anyone recommend somebody that either could machine these or has some expert advice. Thanks!

the calipers and discs off c30 d5 or t5 will fit and are 320mm discs and huge calipers.
My car is a D5 and I believe the discs are approximately 300mm. The brakes are OK although I think they could be better. The main reason for the upgrade is since fitting 19" wheels the standard brakes look far to small. A ridiculous reason for upgrading I know!m1nky, are you on c30crew? I know Shark Performance just posted a SBK for the C30 what utilizes a 4-pot Brembo caliper and AP rotors. It's only for the fronts as our rears have a complicated e-brake system. AFAIK, only Ceika and PB Brakes offers complete BBK set for both fronts and rears.
AP Racing offer a big brake kit for the Focus ST that also fits all the smaller T5s that were built on the previous Focus platform.
This kit will not fit into standard 18" wheels on either the ST or the small Volvos so you do have to buy aftermarket wheels with an offset that allows the accommodation of the bigger AP callipers.
Don.

Thanks for the info. So do you know if the st225 320mm brakes would bolt straight up to the c30?
I believe the ST doesn't have the Revo knuckle, which would mean XC calipers are a fair bit more likely to fit.You can also get the 336 disks under 17" wheels if you need to (see above picture)
