hi all, had the cam belt done yesterday on the s60d5 and on collection of car the low coolant level warning light was on dash. i got it home, checked levels and that level sensor was pugged in and all seems ok! any ideas what could be causing this? as im supposed to be going on a long run out on monday!
i have had the car upto temperature and everything seemed to be ok.but the only thing a bit strange was the coolant header tank never really got hot. just warm and you could easily put your finger in it with car up to temperature but radiator hoses were up to correct temps as was radiator! cheers

Haven't had this problem with the S60 yet but all of my C70's needed new coolant level sensors. It's an easy job, they just plug in underneath the tank.

as far as im aware the light only came on after the tank was turned upside down when removing the belt. but i cant reset it on the indicator stalk.
i think the sensor is ok but wondering if disconnecting the basttery for a few mins would reset the system?
