S60 diesel auto or ?.

I've been reading all the info on the sc60 autos and it's mostly bad news. Want to buy something new but it must be auto.
To all the s60 owners out there who own manuals is if you had to have an auto would you pick the s60

Brand new, probably.
A few years old, hell no.
The autobox in the older S60`s is good for around 100000 miles or so, after that you will get problems at some point, possibly earlier depending on how it`s been treated.

I`m a big S60 fan but personally would avoid auto unless buying new or nearly new.

Would have to have been around an 05 plate. Seems like a resounding no then.
