I need to change all 4 tyres on my xc90 - 235/60/18

Whats the tyre brand of choice for these? Its always had continentals on it but the uneven wear and short tyre life has always pissed me off tbh

Also, my local Kwikfit only seem to be able to get contis in this size

I recently changed to general grabbers - great in wet, snow and dry so far and decent price - £550 for a set of 4 fitted by micheldever tyres

I put Michelins on mine because of the heavy wear on Contis. They do last longer, but cost quite a lot more to buy. Cost per mile, there probably isn't much between the two.

Another happy General Grabber user. UHP's are now discontinued replaced by Grabber GT. Just had a set fitted so no real life experience of them yet.

I appreciate it's early days for you and the newly released General Grabber GT tyres but interested to read an early online review. Especially interested to read how they compare to UHP's & in terms of road noise, mpg, roll in corners at speed & soft off roading such as sandy car parks, wet fields etc.

Grabber GT are on the wife's XC90 so I don't drive it much. Can't really tell the difference between the GT and UHP from my limited exposure. Car regularly attends horsey events, again no compliants re off road grip although more field crossing than mud bashing. Not looked the the MPG but based on how often it gets filled we're averaging about 27mpg. Thats country school run, shopping, to/from stables, all minor A road stuff.
