V50 iPod interface options

Just last week I picked up my '59 reg V50 T5, and very lovely it is too.

Only drawback it has is no USB or aux input for the stereo. I've done a bit of a search, and it seems my options are some DIY wiring, or paying several hundred pounds to Volvo.

Has anyone retrofitted USB audio to their S40/V50?

My D5 has a aux socket in the armrest, just a 3.5mm socket.
