New tyre choice?

Hi all

I have been advised by a nice chap in the Subaru forums that a lot of Volvo's use 215/45 17 sized tyres.

After reading many an EVO tyre review and asking a lot of knowledgeable people, i decided to get Goodyear Asymmetric 2's for my Impreza as the best all-year round tyre choice.

However, for whatever reason, i turned up at the tyre shop and they fitted the wrong size profile.

On a 4wd car, this caused serious diff problems within about 30 miles, leading to a recovery truck and a change of diff oil + 2 new tyres in the right profile 40, NOT 45!

So, it leaves me with a brand spanking new set of top notch tyres that i will never need
