New S60 USB issue.

Looking for help please, my S60 has a usb in the central glove box but I am at a loss as to if it is working or not, it charges up whatever I connect it to but nothing happens with my sony walkman MP3, or a phone, should I be able to use these items with the usb or not?

I use mine with a USB stick with mp3's on. I believe if you want your music available you need to put the phone in to mass storage mode (if it has one) which in theory will make it appear as a USB stick or other memory medium. Disclaimer - I have to admit I've not tried this with my phone though!

I found that the best thing to do is just buy a dedicated USB stick.

I was trying to connect my portable hard drive, which also had photos, videos etc on it - the system was having trouble locating music files, so I just made it simple by getting a USB to have only my music on. (This is on a 2013 MY V60 with Premium Audio).
