Hello,

I've looked in the handbook and on a few forums about T5 tyre sizes.
Car is an 850 T5 Estate, manual 1996.

The size should be 205/50 zr16 all round, but can I fit 205/55 zr16's instead?

I need 4x tyres as well.

Thank you!

I ran with 205/55/16 winter tyres on my V70 and they were fine except for a bit of rubbing at full lock.

That was just over winter (obviously), and I reverted to the correct size for the rest of the year.

I have 205 50 16 summer tyres and 195 55 16 winters, both of which are fine.

The 205 55 16s rub a little on full lock.

My car has been lowered a little.

As above I ran 55's and were fine other than full lock rubbed the arch liners

Please forgive me if I'm being thick!

Are we saying 205/55's rub, but 195/55's DON'T rub? My car is standard-no suspension mods.

Hope I've got the gist of it!

I've had some 205/55 16's fitted earlier today.

There is not any rubbing it would appear. Car drives lovely.
Will report back if any issues.

Thanks for everyones help etc
