Hi, I have a volvo v 70 t5 auto which has just started acting like the clutch is slipping when I pull away. I have taken it to an auto transmission centre to diagnose but they say it is stuck in default (get you home mode) but when they put their diagnostics tool on it, there are no codes acting like there is nothing wrong. anyone had similar? where do I go from here ?

What year?

The boxes on the p2 cars can be a bit flaky, and you almost certainly won't be able to read it unless you use Volvo diagnostics (Vida & Dice).

Might be better to have a search at http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/

sorry for the delay, I have tried a different ecu and my garage have said that the codes being received are showing that the multifunction switch needs replacing. Thanks for the reply.
