Seat Wear on Volvo XC90

My good lady has a 2010 XC90 Active with the leather look seat bolsters. Have just noticed today that a crack has appeared on the drivers side bolster, approx 4" in length, very close to the seam and running down the length of the seat so hasn't been caused by something being scrapped across it.

I was thinking of going to the main stealer and asking them to sort under warranty but wondered if anyone else has had the same issue, did you approach the dealer and what was the outcome?

I noticed a scratch/crack in the leather of my XC90 a couple of days after delivery. I took a few photos and sent them to the dealer with an email telling them that I would keep an eye on it in case it got worse. 7 years later, it is unchanged.
