Oil change interval

Sorry for the basic question, but how often should the oil and filter be changed on my 2001 C70 2.0t?

I do mine every 5-6000 or 6 months.

That's what I always do with my other motors, but this is the first non-V8 I've had in years.

Every 5-6k or each year is sound advice - I'd recommend Shell Helix - semi synth 10w40 - you can use 5w30 fully if you must but a quality semi like shell would be fine
