Hi,

A friend of mine (not me) is looking at buying a C30. Have tried to convince him to get AM Vanquish and join the club but nothing doing.

I think the diesel give good economy and performance compromise so am pushing him this way.

I know the boot is small and some say the ride requires a spinal surgeon. Does anyone have any other bad points to highlight?

As a potential buyer - is there anything he should look out for above the obvious. I know the cambelt change and DPF can be expensive to fix. Are there any other faults/expensive surprises to look out for?

Any help greatly appreciated

I've a T5 with (Volvo) lowered suspension and the ride is not at all bad - far better in fact than most other cars I have driven - so I don't know where you heard negatively about that. Regarding costs, I've had nothing go wrong in the 4 years I have had it. Not a sausage! The seats are a delight, the rear two surprisingly spacious although not vertically (the new S60, for example, seems to have less legroom). The boot is small, but not terrible. Can't say anything about the diesel.
