2006 V70 rear fog lights

Been running one of these for a year.



Each side has two rear sidelights, the bottom bulb being, I thought, a side light/fog light.

The nearside one is not lighting when I switch to fog. The offside is lighting when I switch to fog.

Just had a look in the handbook and it says only the nearside is a fog.

This contradicts what is happening.

I thought both sides operated as fogs. Am I wrong?

So the driver's side should, and does work and the handbook is wrong.
