V70 (p2) Suspension clonk!

Had similar on my old T5 with similar mileage.

I thought it would be the drop links ,again, but I changed the control arm and all was fine.

Bottom arms mate.

Mine looked ok, but were fooked, right side both bushes had failed, left had one failed bush, never buy pattern arms, its got a pair of volvo ones now.

It would clunk when coming to a stop, or going over a bump, as the whole arm was moving around.

Interesting , I know the sound you mean now , mine had that very occaisonally , never did suss what it was but that makes sense .

Mine displayed the same type of clunk when the bottom end ball joint became worn, it also had a high speed shimmy though.
