Just thought I'd post this in here, I currently have a 528i Sport (1999) but have been offered an S60 2.0T Polsar(?) tuned '04 in swap.

FSH, 2 Owners blAck with black leather, no Nav, heated seats etc etc (133,000 miles).

What's one of these worth and is there any massive problems too look for on them? What's the real world MPG of one, the owner is claiming 30mpg in town whereas I get 22.

Sorry for the stupid post ut I love my E39 and have no experience of Volvo apart from a rather dull S40 T4 I had a while back...

I think you mean Polestar. The only way you can chip a Volvo without voiding the warranty.

Very true, apart from the fact that Polestar do not offer anything for Volvo cars earlier than model year 2006, so to the OP, be a little careful because it sounds like you're being spun a yarn!

I'm the world's biggest Volvo nut but it should be pointed out that if you love the way your BMW drives then the volvo will surely disappoint in that department, however if you want a solid, safe, very comfortable effortless cruiser then the Volvo could be right up you street. Oh and the back end won't rot out like a BMW

I struggle to get my 2.0T down to 20MPG and my accelerator only has two positions (on/off), 30 is easily achievable, I've had mine upto 38+ with varied driving!

My average is high twenties with reasonably hard driving.

S60's are miles apart from the S40!! smile
