Afternoon Volvo section masses...

I'm a new (to me) owner of a 2001 S60 which I picked up on Monday and loving it so far.

I had the car MOT'd when I bought it to check any faults and it passed.

But.. there was an advisory on the both side lower arm bushes?

Also there is a engine light on the dash, I looked in the manual and it says its an emissions light, would this be something to do with say a lambda sensor?

Im pretty handy with a spanner so if I where to do the work myself where would the best place to buy partss online be?

Thanks in advance.

Matt

If you want to use genuine parts I can recommend FRF Volvo in Swansea.

They operate an excellent mail order service and give as good a discount as possible.

Full info here: http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showpost.php?p=90082...

Get the codes read/cleared before jumping to any conclusions about teh fault light, it could be any number of things.

Yep buy from frf, i made the mistake of getting pattern lower arms, doh!
After a year they already have play, so its getting volvo ones fitted next week.

Not sure about the engine light, but having the codes read is a good starting place.

Cheers chaps had a look at there site looks good.

I'm taking the car into my local machanics we have all our work done tomorrow, he said he would plug it in and do a fault check, but he also said it sounds like a lambda.

Hey ho will see.
