We had some of the very first S60 and V60 on fleet demo.
What's good. Chassis is the best fwd chassis have driven in decades.
Comfortable, usual decent interior design.
Went well, D3 and D5 engines though. 1.6 DrivE like most 1.6 diesels aimed at low emissions is just too compromised. Not tried petrol.
What's not good.
Dashboard too busy, too much going on and relying too much on the radio/satnav/telephone/everything else screen.
Power parking brake. the early ones the switch is just too far out of reach and is a pain. Suupposed to automatically release on driving off, some examples did. some didn't suggesting there is an adjustment issue. The VW electric handbrake with auto hold works far far better.
The electronics, adaptive cruise and city safety just too intrusive and dumb in operation. Volvo said they had also found this and were going to do some updates following our feedback, no idea if that has been done.
Boot space too small.
In summary I was so looking forward to the S60 and particularly the V60 and in the end so disappointed. Volvo were removed from our fleet for various reasons, incl being quite expensive for what you get.

I've been looking at these as a used buy. They seem to depreciate rapidly in the first few months which is good if you're a buyer.
I've driven two D5 geartronic R designs recently. I liked the car but thought they were slightly noisy (unrefined) at lower revs, one car more than the other.
Anyone able to give opinions/feedback on running one ?
