hi, i urgently need to find the car battery on the volvo s60, when i lift engine cover i cant see one,

please advise

It's under the boot floor. Lift the mat and you should see a black cover to the left.

where are the jump start postives and negatives
are they still in the engine bay?

i can see a plus sign where the fuse box is, but cant see the negative sign

I take it you're jump starting the car, if so this should be of some help.

in fact the volvo which has covered 220,000 miles now (2005 model), has never required jump starting, it was my yellow saab that required it,

all well now...not easy when its dark thanks...cant believe the battery is in the boot of the S60!
On my dads old Caddillac it was under the back seat!
