Its a long sad story which i wont bore you with now but I have an X reg V70 T5 that will shortly be going to the scrap yard. The gearbox is very dodgy and now the engine wont even start after being sat for 18 months.

So before i take it to be weighed in whats worth taking off the car to try and re-coup some of my losses?
For example... lights?, Cat etc?

T5 badge :-)
T5 wheels

Depends how far you want to go with your spanner set!

Or rather than weighing it in try to find a breaker like motorhog rather than just your local scrap metal yard and sell it as a complete car

If it has leather or other toys they will be worth cash as other owners will want them to upgrade their own cars

You'd get about £100 for the turbo, £70 for the injectors, about £120 for the interior if it is leather, £40 for the load carrier (if you have it) and £120 ish for the 7 seat conversion (if you have it)

Also about £120 - £150 for the wheels, depending on their condition.

Or you could try selling the complete car as spares and repair over at t5d5, vpcuk or volvoforums

If its a classic shape model:

Ecu
Idle control valve
Rear roller blind
Interior if it's leather
Cd player
Cam sensor
Purge valve
E window door control
Rear lights (people with 850s retro fit them)

I'll buy the cat off you - mine is knackered - if not take it off before you weigh it in - its worth scrapping separately

Drivers seat heater burnt out(through the leather!) and the electric seat adjustmant is U/S,had the 7 seat converstion but had to remove it when we fitted the LPG kit(which is great!)so need the standard load cover bits, windscreen wiper plastic spindle covers(mine flew off when after i had it mapped the tuner said it would go off the clock-he was right!),seems too nice a car to scrap, but a new gearbox is more than the cars worth, mines had 2 DIY gearbox flushes after I have had trouble and is still going OK,not a great idea to fit a Jap gearbox!

After stripping the parts off, stick the engine in the back and then weigh it in as scrap metal rather than as a car, you'll get a bit more for it.

If you decide to strip it for parts, I'd be interested in the centre console section and the CD/Radio.
