Parking sensors

Just bought a 52 S60 D5 S and for the money (£2450) it is as new but the parking sensors don't work. Does anyone know how to fault find.

My D5 of that age had an on/off switch in the boot (orange from memory) for use when towing...worth checking they're not turned off.

Thanks for that, will check that. Also am looking to change the HU-603 radio/ cd for 803 + amp but am not sure if my model needs speakers upgraded. Any ideas?
