One of the advantages of the D4 is the weight saving through not having a spare wheel and toolkit.

Unfortunately I picked up a puncture the other day and found that the tube of glue in the boot is next to useless. It also means when you turn up at the tyre fitters you're stuck with them and no options once they've removed the tyre.

I'm looking into getting a space saver, but it will mean raising the boot floor. Does anyone have any idea what size the space saver is?

I assume fitting it also requires a jack and different wheel nuts. I currently have no tool kit, just a compressor and the tube of glue.

Can anyone suggest a good source for all the kit?

Thanks

Todd

I have a spacesaver from my S40, I'll measure it tomorrow!!

If you want, you could buy it off me too as I don't use the S40 and am planning on stripping it thumbup

Thanks fro replying.

That sounds like that could be a plan. I take it, as you've got the whole car, you've got the all the toolkit and wheel bolts etc.

Is it the second generation S40 (don't know if they used the same kit in the first generation)?

yeah, it's the 2004-2008 one based on the Ford Focus, rather than the original Mitsubishi based box!

And yes I have the toolkit etc thumbup
