V70 T5 rear brake caliper overhaul...
Discussion
Hi guys, can anyone offer me some advice please. The rear calipers on my 1996 T5 are almost completely shot, I am planning to renew them in 2 weeks time. I cannot really afford to buy replacement ones this side of christmas so I am going to use an overhaul kit and do it myself.
Has anyone on here done them before? is the kit below from ebay ok? Do I need 38mm or 40mm? Also how much will I be looking at for a rear set of discs and pads?

That link don't work mate.
Disks ive found for £40.
Brake disks
Keep in mind, that's a single, you need 2.
Pads £21
Pads
I don't know what size seals you need, hopefully someone with more knowledge will be along soon.
Ive fitted a seal kit on a few of the bikes, make sure the caliper is clean on the inside, use brake fluid to lube the outside of the seal, then place it into the grove, start it on one side, hold it there, then work round until it is all seated in the grove.
Once they are in, again use new brake fluid, to lube the inside of the seal, then make sure the piston is square, ease it home (ooooeeeerrrrr) , if it wont go, that's ok, relube the piston and seal then try again.

Have a look at www.brakeparts.co.uk - should show you which parts you need - looks like 38mm, but you'd better check.Has anyone on here done them before? is the kit below from ebay ok? Do I need 38mm or 40mm? Also how much will I be looking at for a rear set of discs and pads?
