Just bought a late 2004 (31st December!) XC90 and wondrering if anyone has chipped theirs? If so can you recommend a supplier? According to the adverts you can benefit from more power and better fuel economy for initial cost of £60 -£250...

I've got a mate who "chips" cars, so can give you his details if you want ask anything about getting yours done...not sure he can do it though. He's not the cheapest, but is good.

He'll probably tell you this too, but chipping a car nearly 7 years old is ok in principle, but you are going to put more strain on it, as stuff (e.g. clutch) isn't going to be as good/strong as when it was new.

it is well worth chipping, my father had his 2003 s60 d5 done about a year ago and the difference is amazing even considering it was a quick car to start with its now got 205bhp and over 400lb-ft of torque it cost £250 i think...it even increased economy by 5mpg
