Schizophrenic heater V50 58 plate

Been having a go at Volvo for ages because the aircon is crap. Known to be a weak point on these vehicles.

Anyway now the vehicle climate system is operating at two temperatures.

Fire it up today, set the temperature to cool, and on the LH passenger side, once the aircon is running it's blowing reasonably cold, nothing spectacular but OK. RH driver's side it's blowing warm.

Thought that the temperature settings had gone astray as you can set each side differently, but no they were set the same and adjusted together.

Also getting engine service warning even though only serviced a couple thousand miles ago.

Connected or just coincidence.

Booked to go in two weeks time for attention under warranty, but any ideas of where to look and what to look for?

Need to check the codes in the CCM.

There could be a software upgrade for the climate control module and they can be recalibrated.

looks like they forgot to reset the service light,or do you mean engine management light fault ?

It says "Book time for service"

Aiui if it's an engine management fault it says "engine" in the message.

Service light has been OK for 3000 miles since service, now it's coming on intermittently.

if it is "Engine System Service Required" then it's a fault.

Sounds like the Air-Con system is not working, leaking, broken compressor or an electrical fault not engaging correctly.

Under Warranty so get them to sort it.
