more power???

Hi new to the volvo section just bought a 1.8s v40 122 bhp to see me over winter while i work on my pride and joy but its not exactly quick, anyone got any good ideas to get more power ie chip recommendations prices etc? any info much appreciated jim

In fairness you'd just be wasting money - chips are largely pointless in non turbo cars - don't bother with an induction kit as they don't respond well to them - I suppose you could look at the exhaust system - de-cat and a manifold might help, port and polish the head maybe? - best thing to do either use it as is or sell it and buy a t4

Lots of money to make your car less reliable and give a tiny bit more power, as above, sell and buy a bigger engined one!!
