The car has always had a squeaky and also a rather heavy clutch pedal and this occasionally develops into a 'clunk' when the pedal is depressed and it'll also sometimes do it when it's released. Quite difficult to describe really but it's not a clutch/flywheel/release bearing related issue... it sounds more like a dry bush/actuating rod along with an occasional creak and clunk as of something isn't bolted down correctly.

I'd sprayed some silicone lube around the pivot point at the top of the pedal and it's achieved feck all really. I've also checked for any obvious loose parts or clutch spring not seated correctly and as far as I can tell, all seems well to my untrained eye. The car drives fine, bite point is always the same and although the pedal is quite heavy, it's not what I'd class as excessive given it's agricultural background and the fact it probably came from an old 60's Scania.

I've had a search on line but can't find anything related to this issue, there are a couple of threads started on T5D5 and VPCC but nobody has replied.

Hopefully have better luck here!
