LPG people & conversions
Discussion
Greetings all - so the amusement of running car thats quick but needs filling every 250/300 miles has worn off as has the cost of filling it!
The car itself isn't ever going to be a pride and joy or even classic (Volvo V50 T5) so I'm considering an LPG conversion.
Does anyone have any advice, suggestions of reputable companies (personal emails only on the disreputable please) experience of fitting to 5cylinder 2.4 turbo unit as used in other cars?
In fact anything that you may think useful and educational!
Thanks in advance

My girlfriend has a 2.5 V70 running an LPG conversion. She had in done approx 3 years ago at a place in Ripley, Derbyshire http://www.autotech-lpg.co.uk/
It's been a great investment - she's self employed and does about 15-20K miles per year so it's paid for itself many times over. The conversion was about 2 grand IIRC.
The car has a 60 litre toroidal tank in the spare wheel well... this gives a range of approx 250 miles in normal driving. I drive her car on the odd occasion and neither of us can tell the difference between petrol and LPG running.
I'd certainly recommend the conversion.
