Questions, questions....
1. What year did they go over to maintenance-free DPF, instead of that st Elyos fluid?
2. Some reviews say that the 185BHP motor is not as quick off the mark as the 163.
3. Also it is rumoured that the 163 responds nicely to tuning to give good low-down grunt
4. What turbo arrangements have the two motors got.
5. Do I recall correctly that Ford recently sold Volvo? If so, what are the implications, eg as per Saab's present state of affairs?
Above is necessary for my distant future plans should I decide to depart from Saab ownership. Happily, wifey does not frequent PH (she loves the Saab) but in the end I hope to win her over if I deem it the way to go.

Just had a good browse through. Pleased to note that the 2.4d appears not to have the dreaded fluid additive for the DPF, but shocked to see the MPG figures advised by owners. At 47 on the read-out (actual 45 when checked on tank to tank calculations) going to & from work (m/way) while making VERY good progress, I think I'll stick to the Saab! Must be all the weight of the Volvo, although A/trader figures suggest better than most owners manage.
Ta again; good reading.
