Is there an easy way to change the way my headlights switch on?

In the "0" position I have headlights (dipped) on all the thime. In the "sidelight" poition I have, obviously, side lights. In the "headlight" position I have dipped lights all the time but I also can have full beam on operation of the dipswitch.

The lights go off automatically when the ingition is switched off, unless the "sidelight" position is selected.

Thanks.

Do you mean the daylight running lights? If so, on some models (for example, my V40 phase 2) you can switch off that feature so they work just liker normal lights.

Theres often a tiny little screwhead by the switch which you can with a small screwdriver wink

It's '99 model. There doesn't seem be any screw by the switch.

Sounds the same as my V70. It's never bothered me apart from the fact that whenever it's serviced the lights always get switched to '0' and I have to switch them back to get main beam.

I guess I do mean the DRL's, though of course the DRL's are actually the headlights in this case. Any idea how to do it?

1. Put light switch to headlamps.
2. Switch ignition to position 2.
3. Pull High beam lever towards you.
4. Turn light switch Off.
5. Switch off Light switch.

Doesn't work on all models though!

Sorry, I'm probably just thick, but what's the difference between steps 4 and 5?

Err, umm, err, well, yes, that'll be 4 is the dial and 5 is the stork. I think.
