Nice car! Another Oxford registered Volvo (plate starts with O), it wasn't first registered to Volvo UK was it? Mine is 'OY' and the first registerd keeper was Volvo UK and if you are sad enough to notice you will see quite a few Volvos around with OE, OY etc at the start of the plates. Volvo Uk are (or were?) based in Didcot so a fair amount of these cars probably belonged to staff there perhaps.
Mines OW 05 and was a Volvo Management car with plenty of options fitted, seems that most of the Volvo sales in 05 were staff!kapiteinlangzaam said:

Well I'm now the proud owner of this 2004 V70 D5 SE
http://bit.ly/14JFh9f sorry not great at linking pictures directly.
High miles and short MOT but reflected in the price I think. Hopefully the suspension knock is drop links but what's the worst case? Wishbones?
Does this one have the facelift interior?
Can't wait to pick it up.
Seriously good price for an 04 D5. Good luck with it!http://bit.ly/14JFh9f sorry not great at linking pictures directly.

The fuel flap locks 600 seconds after the deadlocks mate. sit and watch it for 10 minutes after locking the car to confirm weather or not it works before you go buying another solenoid
Its not the actual lock its the plastic lugs that hold the spring/hinge. having looked at the part on Ebay mine is missing the 2 little plastic lugs that hold it closed, which is then not allowing the actual lock to locate. One is on order. Man maths has also meant I bought 20 litres of Shell Helix Ultra Diesel 5W-30 instead of 7 but that's another story.

How do you get your bumper strips so black Martin?
Mine a greyer than a seals arse at the moment and tried all sorts of back to black stuff with no success.
Go to aldi (or Lidl) and grab a pot of black boot polish - the one with the little sponge. Wet the sponge and apply it to the strips. They'll get darker and last longer every time you do it, it lasts 2 to 3 months.Mine a greyer than a seals arse at the moment and tried all sorts of back to black stuff with no success.
Once they get to a good even black, go get yourself some Meguires Endurance Tyre Gel, dress your tyres using a sponge and when you finish, just run round all your black trims with it, it'll bring them up lovely.
Works on engine plastics and hoses too...
So today instead of living with all those niggling faults and only fixing them ready for sale I decided to sort them out for me to enjoy. In no particular order I have
Replaced offside handbrake cable (seized) (MOT fail)
Replaced various bulbs (MOT fail)
Fixed floppy key fobs
Fixed rear wiper motor
Fixed knocking drivetrain, which turned out to be a loose top engine brace mount.
Replaced a couple of fuses that had blown
Replaced rusty wheel bolts
And nothing broke or went wrong, which was nice.
