Posted on the Cerbera site, but thought you Major Modders might like this too!

Fitted a set of 8x 55mm Kinsler ITB's to my 6.9Ltr LS engined Cerbera, Airbox will be satin black by next weekend!! smile

Craig at Dyno Torque welded it all up for me, and had to have the rear panel cut and remoulded to fit, Scoop off Ebay!! Two joined together to get the width needed..

Buldge/scoop was needed to squash em under..

So how do the itbs compare to your old fast setup?

Has it gained much power or is it just nicer to drive?

Does it sound any better?

mmmmmm.... Kinsler throttle bodies cloud9
always fancied a set - presumably you're using an aftermarket ECU? And the big question - does it make more power on them? But I guess you had FI on the LS before though and not a carb?

Yes, it was on a FAST manifold, and Emerald 3D. It now has an uprated pump and wiring plus MOPAR injectors. This lot was of a Mosler GT car!

What will happen to the air as it goes through the new scoop? Will it (possibly?) cool the top of the airbox and then most of it exit through the vents at the bottom of the windscreen?

(Absolutely great installation work - as always biggrin)

More cool air on TVR's is always good smile

There are two figures I'm interested in with your latest development:-

One of course is the power change (you've already stated superiour low speed driveability) biggrinbounce

The other is how many (probably older) men ask you if you've got a 4 barrel Holley under the scoop boxedin

Had to go to Emerald to sort a few gremlins i could not cure, Dave spotted that the new injectors were of low resistance, and this was causing the top end miss, and i mean a serious missfire you could not drive through, so he installed some resistors and mapping commenced, we could not run in 3rd as soon as we hit 4k+ we just smoked the tyres, and 4th was too fast for them, but we got a reading of 590bhp (crank) before the graph went wobbly thanks to wheelspin at around 140mph+ (5800rpm) on the rollers. I will go to a rolling road that can handle the top end to just optimize.
Dave did a top job though, and i would never have sussed that one out!!
It is pretty savage to drive, and the top end just wails!! smile

If it is now savage, how would you describe it before, as it wasn't exactly slow hehe !?

Your engine was more of a gruntmonster than a standard LS7 obviously and also gave peak bhp at lower revs as I remember.

Does the car feel as though the peak bhp has moved up the rev range now?

Heres the latest, This is at the wheels, not the crank..

At the crank at Emerald, but no grip at the top end..

And before, also the rollers showed a bit more in these days, but they f*cked up and had to be recalibrated, we are all showing around 4% less, so think 485-490rwbhp, so an increase of around 25rwbhp, but look at the rev range..

Makes the power pretty low (which is good obviously).

I Have experience of fitting Kinsler throttle bodies to a LS7 modified motor done by Prter Knight, Hes has also worked on the Mosler engines. My engine made 720hp @ 5950 rpm & 630lb of torque at 4900rpm, at the crank, Fitted on the standard LS7 the throttle bodies gave 120bhp & 100lb of torque more over standard.

However not fitted in a TVR, Thankfully, I guess you have to be extremly carefull with putting the throttle down giving the massive amounts of torque you have, I used 345 rear tyres & I lit up the rear tyres ever so easily, & could only use the car 10% at most on public roads at best. Fantastic on the track once the tyres got sticky.

However Fantastic job , I bet its awsome flat out on the streight,
