Read this:

INSTALL AN ADJUSTABLE RISING RATE FUEL REGULATOR

This cute little item increases your fuel pressure when you are accelerating at a faster curve than stock and is adjustable as well..thereby effectively eprogramming" your fueling on Flapper engines. With Hot Wire Systems, one still gets the acceleration boost and one can trim the pressure to correct parameters. As well, Hotfire systems are only closed loop until 3000 rpm. That means that after this point, the lambdas will not null out increased fueling. Set the pressure to 40-41 lbs and see the ddifference.

...on this site: http://www.gomog.com/art3.html#EXHAUST discussing the Morgan +8.

Firstly, does this pressure sound about right?

What make/model fuel regulators are any of your RV8 owners using?

Many thanks

flapper's dont run lambda sensors IIRC - so whilst its in bits I would get an M18x1.5 bung welded into each collector - which will allow you or a dyno operator to accurately measure the fuel ratio.
Cant say I'm a fan or RRFPR's as its a crude way of solving a problem - but I guess with some effort they can work. But right now you have no idea what your fuel mixtures are - so slapping one of them in is just taking a wild stab in the dark.

Hi Elliot,

Thanks for the advice.

I read in various posts that the flapper injection requires a rising rate regulator however as far as original RV8's are concerned mine runs just fine.

Could do with better mileage out of a tankful though!

Thanks again.
