4.6 serp question.

I have just aquired a 4.6 serp to play with, my oil pump has a take off for an oil cooler piped in from factory, I have spoken to several people who have said to blank them off and use a sandwich plate, but nobody can give ma a deffinative answer to why I should not use them, it would make life so much easier if I could.

If they can't explain why, then they don't know what they're talking about so their opinion isn't worth bothering with. Clearly the factory oil cooler plumbing works so there's nothing fundamentally wrong with it.

Thats exactly what I think, if it works why change it?? but------
