Running a 53k 96' N plate serp 400 Chim.

Bit flat TBH. I actualy like the flat torque thats great but suspect she's not putting out what she should and would like more.

No doubt the cam needs swapping out.

Question is, do I go engine out, engine rebuild, bottom end etc, with new cam, GT heads, valves and EPROM or do a short block larger capacity change too???

Lots of units out there, 4.8, 5.2........

Dunno, want to keep the car so selling up to a 500 is out and this is more fun. Want more grunt, im sure most of you must have been here before..........,

I was qouted £2500 +VAT from a very well known TVR engine tuner.

Full rebuild, GT heads, new valves, im sure he said 218 cam? altho 280 cam seems more like it, EPROM etc, new shells, etc etc

he reconned 320 BHP, yes still 4 litre??

5 litre you say?

PM on its way!

I would not bother trying up make the 4.0 make 300 bhp..

Better to go for a CC upgrade - it's cheaper and will be less extreme / last longer.
