I have a spare rolling body and want to have some fun and as cheap as possible.(no ecu or engine loom)
I was thinking about buying a wrecked 95/97 RR 4.6 but these run gem's.
How easy would it be to adapt to my loom or am I better buying a Disco 3.9 with the 14cux and getting the map changed?

Frankly, I'd be going aftermarket - decent systems are not that much nowadays.

Why dont you want the GEMS?
It will easily outperform the 14CUX in every respect, and if it comes with the car then your not having to pay out much extra for it.
Personally speaking, if I had the chance to fit GEMS to my any of my toys or customers toys I would be doing so without hesitation!
