Does anyone have or know where i could get one of these? This would give me ideal gearing with the TKO box.

I can get you one sent from nz if you need one,or how about swooping your last cog to a higher one?

I want to move all of the gears up and the 5th down closer to the others. The 5th is about right at the moment, geared for around 200mph, but it tops out in 4th at 140mphish, so a really big step on the last change. It can pull away in 2nd no problem as it is. How much is that gear set in NZ? Cheers Brum.

Changing the diff ratio will not achieve what you want in your last post.

The ratio spread and the inter gear ratios will still stay separated, as they are now.

I'm thinking that it is a TKO 500 with a 0.64 top that you are using now,and not a TKO 600 with a 0.8 top?

If so, then the easiest solution is to swap out the 500 box for a 600 box.
I am not sure if the 0.64 can be changed for the 0.8 gear inside the box you now have.

The 600 is very well suited to the lower Rpm of an engine that runs up to 6000/6500 Rpm,

Ratios being,

2.87
1.89
1.28
1.0
0.82

A diff ratio of 3.2:1 works very well with the above using a rolling radius of 6.74 feet.

Speed eight.

I have a 0.64 top, and i would change this for a 0.80 and swap the diff. Brum.

Any joy Brum? Are you going to drop the boc and get 5th changed and just changing the final drive for anything else with still have the huge drop there.

You gotta get the .82 and say go 2 Crown Wheel and pinion sets lower than mine if you want the best of both world - Daft top End - (do you need to go 200mph, can a Cerb get there? Doubt 470bhp is enough).

Got the Diff, just gotta put it in, i think a 5th swap is on the cards, the gearing should be bang on at that, Richard D calculates 188mph @ 6200rpm, but all the ratios will be further up, except 5th of course.

I could never see the point of such a long 5th (the .62 vs the .82)- would alway mean you would have to drop a gear to get REAL go in top pulling that.

Cost me nearer £500 all in, so was a good deal!
