Got another question ppl?
Would a 420bhp tuscan be as fast or faster than a 420bhp cerbera?
What would be the results?
Any opinions or knowledge will be much appreciated.

Assuming you mean a S6 Tuscan?I dont know for sure, but wouldn't the cerb have more low down torque, and so be quicer off the line? The Tus would be a little lighter though,so maybe more top speed?I know from personal experience that running high speed on a Tuscan feels bloody awful though, just like the Evo test,it seems like it want's to shake itself to bits!

Sounds like another point for the cerbera.
Any s6 tuscan owners want to clarify?

A bit pointless really. With that sort of power and no traction control there is going to be nothing in it on normal roads with road tyres and a typical driver.

Quoting BHP figures (especially for a TVR) is best saved for bragging rights at bar for those who feel that way inclined.

They would both be faster than you ever need to go.

Im into tuning cars and wanted to know which would give me more after spending my money on it.
They both don't have 420 bhp but thats what I would be aiming at getting if I do purchase.
I just want to know which most people think will be faster.
Imagine they where both stable at high speeds with the right setup and traction control. just straightline speed, forget twisties.

Why 420bhp? And how much are you thinking of spending?

Established side by side runs over the past years have proven that although the cerbera is heavier and higher geared it's comparatively massive midrange punch wins over the Sp6 Tuscan smile 420hp from a Sp6 is going some .. there's plenty of 4/5 cerbs in that ball park though so if it's tuneability youre after the 4.5 cerbie is the one to have smile It looks and sounds better too wink

Thanks alot track car. Thats what I wanted to know. Cerbera will win as it has better tuning results.
Anyone care to differ from that.

A reliable (an oxymoron in the case of the Sp6!) 420bhp from a 6 would be tough, the same from the Cerb comparitively easy.

I think the Longer wheelbase of the Cerb would help on most british track, Mind you an AJPV8 in a Tuscan would be the fun route if you could get some really good suspension on it and sticky yoko's on it.

Ajp8 tuscan. That would be great.
I keep hearing the s6 tuscan is lighter. So whats the weight of the cerb? if it aint 1100kg

According to printed test results closer to 1300kgs - but who cares? They'll deal with just about anything in a straight line and with a decent set of shocks and springs (Nitrons for example) will go around them in the twisties too. One of the greatest British cars ever made IMHO.

An Ajp8 will be around 1200 (they really get upset when you say it is more!!)

Would thing the wieght of the V8 is alot less than the HUGE SP6.

EVO February 2002 - TVR Cerbera 4.5 LW Red Rose vs Brabus Merc - weighed during the test : 1275kgs with a full tank. I'd suspect a non-LW would be a few kgs heavier still? Not much in it.
