Turbocharged ajpv8
Discussion
I am looking to sell my modded fiat coupe 20v turbo at the end of the year and get a cerbera 4.5. I have been modding my last last cars and plan to do the same with the cerbera but going down the turbocharged route. I came across tvrcraft about two years ago and bookmarked the site but they don't seem to have one anymore and I didn't get their number. If anyone knows their new website or name or of any other company that will turbocharge cerberas, do let me know. Thanks in advance for your replies.
Also I have heard that the cerb 4.5 doesn't have the 420bhp as originally claimed. I wanted to know how true this was and if so, is it possible to get the 420bhp as originally stated. I ask this as due to all the money going out on the car and insurance, it will be standard for awhile. But I want to drive it at its stated 420bhp. Any mods or costs needed to get it to the 420bhp will be much appreciated.

Check out the Cerbera forum and do a search on all these topics. There are ways to get the 4.5 up towards its stated power output without too much difficulty.
You may find that its fast enough as it is
Its true that standard 4.5,s dont put out 420BHP,but its not difficult with the 4.5 to get somewhere near it,think the easiest route is a short induction kit with modified chip & re-map.There are specialists who advertise in the TVRCC Mag who do all this stuff.Gonna get my 4.5 done when ive saved the pennies!
I was searching the forum and came across a topic by spool called turbocharging a cerbera.
TVRCRAFT came up again. Does anyone know if they are still around.
Also does anyone know Spool as I would like to know how far he got and any info he has.
Another guy I would like to talk to is boosted Ls1.
I have also heard of 700bhp nos cerberas, even though I don't like the idea of refilling up the nos much, it still is an option for me.
Coming guys, no more secrets LOL, give me the info.
Any help much appreciated. I would love to turbocharge the ajpv8.

People generally don't turbocharge TVR's due to engine bay heat! TVRCRAFT came up again. Does anyone know if they are still around.
TVR Craft are at
www.autocraftsve.co.uk
(believe they have done some work with the AJP8 and Procharger supercharger)
What bhp levels are you aiming for anyway?
Why not actually call TVR craft..
As far as I know - no one has done it .. with a turbo as there ia not a lot of room for a turbo in a TVR - only in front of the engine..
Supercharged has been done.
Talk with Dave Davis but as others has said here - 400 bhp is more than enought and with your pervious car - will probably take some getting used to anyway - never mind more power.

there are a few guys on here toying with the idea i think. have a quick look over some of the threads.
as far as power gose the ls2 (same externally as the ls1), a bone stock one, will take over 600bhp with boost. also you can get big power without the massive torque of boosted power. with revs and some displacment 600bhp isn't worlds away! have a look on ls1tech.com for some more info.
also i have heard of TT grifs. think BBR did one. might be worth giving them a call. they mod loads of diffrent cars inc. high end stuff!
thanks Chris.
Hey Chris, ls1tech comes up as a forum.
Googling BBR brought up www.morego.co.uk/bbr-gti/home.php, is this the guys you were talking about, they say they've done 1000bhp astonmartins. They charge £10,000 for a 300bhp mgf so I dread to think how much they'd ask for a cerbera.
Autocraft are up for conversions aswell, so I will need to give them a call soon.
Do you think it would be easier and cheaper to turbocharge a speed six engine?

k35t3r,
I could boost the cerb or install the chevy. Cerb would certainly need new pistons and a rebuild plus external mods. Chevy would mean a custom install but I figured it out years ago, more or less. I could probably increase the capacity of the cerb at the same time Sounds like a winter project.
Boosted.

wasn't there some millioner building a 1000bhp AJPV8??? think he was going down the centrifugal supercharger route.
boosted LS1,2,6,7 would be more than strong enough but its mena you ahve to swap the engines as well as boost them..
thanks Chris.
