Injector Upgrade Question

Pintle or 4 hole disk type ?

I am advised the 4 hole disk type are the upgrade to the slightly older pintle style. These being Bosch 30lbs jobs.

Before we enter into the bigger injector debate, my engine was rebuilt by V8D last year, with one of Rob's Stealth cams, balanced etc with trumpets and ported/matched inlet. It will be getting a 72mm throttle (want to keep it standard looking) along with new loom and Emerald ECU. It will be running wasted spark/coil packs.

So I'm not just doing injctors for the sake of it, the engine did over 340bhp on V8D's engine dyno last year and runs a Mark Adams chip as the standard chip couldn' fuel it enough.

The winter project therefore is to give the induction and fuelling that the engine build should have and get rid of the awful dizzy and AFM set up.

Any views on the injectors ?

Interesting read, another site propogating the view that pintle beats disk. This wold have been my view historically. However, chatting to Five0 they have no issue with 4 hole disk type and the disk tyoe i'm lookng at buying is the upgrade to the earlier same injector, but it was a pintle design instead.

No knoledge of Accel injectors at all, let us know how you get on Rev ?

Do they have any information on droplet size?

The smaller the droplet the better the atomisation = more power (sometimes)

If these 4 hole discs can beat the droplet size of your old pintles then give them a go

Just in USA at moment and have them sitting on my desk..

It will be a little while before I fit them though as I need to put at engine back in my car .. as I have to be in the wedge at Le Mans..
