T5 box to six speed?

Assuming your going for a TKO.
Changeing the clutch to 26 spline,(from 23)
Getting a bellhousing to gearbox adaptor plate made.
Going from a slave to centre release bearing.
Adapting or makeing new gearbox mounts
High probability of making new propshaft.(I think of memory tko has the same 27 spline output,so the yoke should be ok.)
Posibility of mkeing new shifter surround.
If you want longer legs it far easier keeping the T5 and getting a longer diff,say 3.08,or going for a close ratio kit with a first being 2.34.

thanks for that, I just fancy the 6 speed, I was looking at a 6speed supra box (it looks about the right size and should take the power okay) did contact that guy in your neck of the woods but got no reply

TVR Switzerland have done at least one T5 to T56 conversion and the owner of the car stated that he was very pleased with the result and that it was reasonably straight forward. There are T5 to T56 conversion kits available from the States (but please don't ask where from), and there is also a new and much improved version of the T56 available called the T6060. You can expect that it will add around 25-odd kilos, but given that if you're prepared to make this mod, you're probably also upgrading the engine to more than compensate.
